In July 2011, Expression described the Enterprise Policy and Process Interactive Capability developed for the Army Logistics Innovation Agency. EPIC ingested policy, doctrine, and manuals from XML, PDF, Word, and text files, then indexed conceptual sections for browser-based search.
The system associated each section with source-document metadata, including Dublin Core elements, and used a logistics taxonomy. Expression reported testing the database, conversion tools, taxonomy, and search functions. At publication, the company described a third phase involving deployment to the LPC and integration with NIPRNET and JWICS.
