The ranking compared percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2021 among qualifying private, independent U.S. businesses. Expression’s announcement also described its national-security work in AI-enabled data fusion, analytics, software engineering, IT, and spectrum management. The company highlighted its modular open-source approach to tailoring systems for customer environments.
