Expression Networks Awarded Contract to Establish National Emergency Tele-critical Care Network to Aid COVID-19 Efforts

In September 2020, Expression announced a prime contract from the Army’s Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center to develop and demonstrate the National Emergency Tele-critical Care Network.

The planned cloud-based health-information system would coordinate virtual critical-care wards and connect expertise with temporary treatment settings where local hospital resources were strained. The announcement framed the work around expanding tele-critical care from local services to a national scale during COVID-19. The intended system would help address shortages in physical capacity and specialist personnel.
