Congratulations goes to Dr. Abir Ray, Expression Networks LLC’s CEO/CTO, for his election to the National Spectrum Consortium (NSC) Executive Committee. He joins select Academia, Large Business representatives, and fellow Small Business leaders, all working towards meeting NSC objectives. Dr. Ray’s term runs from January 2023 through December 2024. With 408 current members, $1.2B across 116 funded projects, and 3 technical working groups, the NSC focuses on breakthroughs in spectrum- and spectrum-dependent capabilities; and the development of policy and regulatory insights to enhance, inform, and sustain U.S. technical leadership.

The NSC provides the Government with direct access to over 350 members of U.S. industry and academia who work intimately with systems, sub-systems, components, and technologies related to the use of the electromagnetic spectrum or the information that rides on it. Most Consortium members are small businesses, and over 75% are principally focused on commercial markets. Membership spans the continuum of basic research through large-scale production, enabling the formation of purpose-built teams and tailored solutions.
